3-day Goa itinerary for a long weekend
Last updated
- Duration
- 3 days
- Starts from
- Goa (airport or station)
- Best for
- A long weekend
Three days is enough to sample both sides of Goa if you stay central or move once. This plan keeps driving short and leaves evenings free. See the Goa guide for seasons and getting around.
Conditions change. Road openings, permits, fees and weather vary by season and year. Check the latest official or local information before you travel, especially for high-altitude routes.
Day-by-day plan
Day 1: North Goa beaches
- Check in and pick up your rental.
- Spend the afternoon on a North Goa beach.
- Sunset by the coast, dinner nearby.
Day 2: Old Goa and Panjim
- Morning at the churches of Old Goa.
- Afternoon walking Panjim's Latin quarter.
- Evening by the Mandovi riverside.
Day 3: South Goa
- Drive south for a quieter beach.
- Long lunch, then head back for departure.
Allow extra time to reach the airport in peak season traffic.
Tips
- In the monsoon, swap beach time for waterfalls, spice farms and indoor sights — and follow beach safety flags.
- Carry your licence and rental documents whenever you drive.
